PRAAN is a non-governmental and non-partisan Public Interest Civil Society Organization’ led by a group of Civil Society activities’ in Bangladesh. Incepted in 2004 led by some innovative and enthusiastic Social and Human Rights activists the organization has been searching for development alternatives to strengthen people's initiative by promoting human rights, economic rights, Climate Resilience, governance, Economic justice, and rural livelihoods.
For bringing about pro-poor policy and institutional reframes PRAAN engages itself in campaign, mobilization, and advocacy on different issues such as participatory governance, Fiscal governance- Budget tracking and analysis, Tax Justice, Climate Change, IFI investment, and debt in Bangladesh. PRAAN is working intensively with the poor, marginal, and underprivileged biodiversity dependant people i.e. forest people, indigenous communities, marginal farmers, and climate-vulnerable people.
