With the many armed conflicts and other emergencies across Africa, especially West and Central Africa, people are made more vulnerable and community systems and structures become fragile and in most cases collapse. The most vulnerable in these contexts are women, Girls and children. The impact of conflict is more intense in communities that were already impoverished, with social inequality as a major characteristic.
