Un Ponte Per is an association for international solidarity and a non-governmental organization founded in 1991, immediately after the end of the bombing of Iraq, under the name of "A Bridge for Baghdad"with the aim of promoting solidarity initiatives for the Iraqi population affected by the war.Subsequently, the organization’s intervention extended to other countries in the Middle East and the Mediterranean area, to Serbia and Kosovo. The aim of UPP is to prevent armed and violent conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, through information campaigns, cultural exchanges, cooperation projects, peacebuilding programmes and the construction of networks for social justice.
