encuentro 5 (e5) is a collaborative project space for progressive movement building in the heart of Boston. e5 is organized by Massachusetts Global Action (MGA) and TecsChange: Technology for Social Change. As e5 is in transition, its core functions are being re-organized and allocated across several venues with a core facility that will host partners and their small meetings. MGA has theorized about this after reflecting on its experiences and practices: MGA sees e5 as embodying its idea of how multi-organizational collaboratives and social movements emerge. e5 brings together organizations from diverse areas, creating an ongoing exchange of skills and experiences. With space for offices and a core technology infrastructure, e5 allows a pooling of resources so organizations can focus more on their programs. e5's event room provides a much-needed venue for cultural and political programming to help attract and inspire new people to our movement.
